about us

Training venueOur facilities are basic but in keeping with a woodland environment. Many of our courses are run outside, so please wear suitable seasonal outdoor clothing and footwear. However if too wet or cold, or using indoor tools, we will run the courses inside our purpose built training hut, which has a stove for hot drinks and a wood stove to keep the chill off. We have a volunteer built dry composting toilet. We have no mains power or water connections. All our power comes from a small wind turbine, topped up by a generator when needed. .

We have car parking space for up to 10 cars on site. We have a small grass area that can be used for camping and course activities. The site is suitable for wheelchairs.

Opening times

We are open all year, 7 days a week, 9am to 5pm, but booking in advance is essential to ensure we are able to accommodate you.
